Seedance Pricing (2026): What Seedance 2.5 and 2.0 Cost

Seedance pricing depends on where you use it. In Dreamina, ByteDance's own creative app, the cheapest paid way in is the Basic plan's first month at $1.50 in the US (90% off until 9 October 2026), which Dreamina says works out to $0.035 per second of 720p Seedance 2.5 video, and Dreamina also gives free daily credits. Through ByteDance's official API, BytePlus ModelArk, Seedance 2.5 costs about $0.10 per second at 480p and $0.23 at 720p, and the Seedance 2.0 family starts at about $0.04 per second (2.0 Mini at 480p).

Seedance pricing at a glance

From each vendor's official pages, in US dollars. Dreamina's figures are its own effective rates for 720p output under an offer that runs from 23 September to 9 October 2026, not renewal prices. BytePlus figures are its list-price examples for a video with no video input. Credits are not dollars: each app's credits buy different things, so compare the plan price and what it covers.

Seedance 2.5 vs 2.0: what you pay for

ByteDance's two newest Seedance generations are priced differently. Seedance 2.5 is the newer model: ByteDance's Seed team calls it an audio-video joint generation model built for 30-second storytelling. Seedance 2.0 is cheaper and makes clips of up to 15 seconds.

Four things set the price of any Seedance clip, wherever you buy it:

• The model. On the official API, Seedance 2.5 costs about 1.5 times as much as Seedance 2.0 at 720p.
• The resolution. 1080p on Seedance 2.5 costs about 2.5 times the 720p rate.
• The length. The API bills per second of output, so a 30-second clip costs three times a 10-second one.
• Video inputs. A reference or source video raises the cost, and BytePlus applies a minimum charge when the input includes video.

Seedance pricing on Dreamina

Dreamina is ByteDance's creative app from CapCut, and it calls itself the official website for accessing Seedance 2.0. It has a free tier and paid plans that its US terms name Basic, Standard and Advanced. Dreamina's pricing page did not show plan prices when we checked, and its own guide says to use the purchase page in your account, because offers differ by region and channel.

What Dreamina does publish is an effective price per second of Seedance video under its current offer, which runs from 23 September to 9 October 2026:

From Dreamina's Seedance 2.5 and Seedance 2.0 pricing guides. The first month costs $1.50 in the US. The offer is for eligible accounts in 12 countries: the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, South Korea and Australia.

Read those rates with three caveats Dreamina states itself:

• They are not renewal prices. Dreamina says the figures are effective subscription usage rates for 720p output under this offer, not pay-as-you-go or renewal prices. It calls the $1.50 first month 90% off the standard price, which by our arithmetic puts an undiscounted month at $15, and it shows the renewal amount only at checkout.
• They are per generated second. At the first-month rate, 30 seconds of 720p Seedance 2.5 is $1.05 of plan usage; at the annual rate, $1.41. Retries use credits too.
• The earlier price was higher. The same page keeps a 10 August 2026 comparison in which Seedance 2.5 worked out to $0.097 per second on an annual Advanced plan listed at $402 a year. Dreamina labels that snapshot historical.

Free use: Dreamina gives free daily credits, and its Seedance 2.0 and 2.5 pages say they can be used to try those models. Its guide gives an August 2026 baseline of 120 credits a day and says to confirm today's amount in your account. An earlier promotion of four free Seedance 2.5 generations has ended. On watermarks, Dreamina's guide says members may export without visible branding where the plan and model permit it.

CapCut: CapCut, also from ByteDance, has pages about using Seedance inside CapCut, but they would not load for us, so we cannot confirm what Seedance costs there. See vendor site.

Seedance API pricing

BytePlus ModelArk is ByteDance's official cloud API for Seedance. It bills by token, and BytePlus gives the formula: tokens equal (input video duration plus output video duration) times width times height times frame rate, divided by 1,024. In practice, the price scales with length and resolution. You pay only for videos that generate successfully; BytePlus charges nothing when a generation fails, for example on content moderation.

BytePlus also turns those token prices into per-second examples for a 16:9 video with no video input:

BytePlus's list-price examples (its page was last updated 28 September 2026). Until 7 October 2026, enterprise accounts get 25% off Seedance 2.0 Fast and 60% off 2.0 Mini, which BytePlus puts at about $0.09 and $0.03 per second at 720p.

By our arithmetic on those rates, a 10-second 720p Seedance 2.5 clip costs about $2.31 through the official API, and a full 30-second clip about $6.93. Adding a video input costs more: BytePlus's own examples put a 5-second 720p Seedance 2.5 clip at $1.244 to $4.838, depending on how long the input video is. Seedance 2.5 also has a Draft mode on the API: the draft is billed as a 480p video, and the final video is billed at the resolution you choose.

Other ways to buy Seedance by the second:

• OpenRouter lists Seedance 2.0 from $0.06726 per second and Seedance 2.5 from $0.1028 per second, on one account with other models.
• Runway's developer API charges $0.01 per credit, which makes Seedance 2.5 $0.20, $0.30 or $0.68 per second at 480p, 720p or 1080p, plus a charge for each second of input or reference video and an 80-credit minimum. Seedance 2 is $0.36 per second at 480p or 720p.

Watch out for look-alike Seedance sites

Two of the pricing pages that rank near the top of Google for "seedance pricing" are not ByteDance. The pricing page on seedance.ai says: "We are Seedance (SeedDance) AI Community and have no affiliation with ByteDance." The pricing page on seeddance.io says: "SeedVideo AI is an independent platform and is not affiliated with ByteDance or any other underlying model providers." The prices on those pages are their own plan prices, not what ByteDance charges for Seedance.

How to spend less on Seedance

• Draft cheap, finish sharp. Test the motion at 480p, then render the keeper at 720p or 1080p. On Runway a Seedance 2.5 draft is 20 credits a second against 68 at 1080p.
• Use Seedance 2.0 for short clips. For clips up to 15 seconds, 2.0 costs less than 2.5 at every resolution on the official API, and 2.0 Fast and Mini cost less again.
• Pay only for the seconds you need. Every option here charges more for a longer clip, so a 6-second product shot should not be rendered at 15.
• Keep reference videos short. On the API and on Runway, input video adds to the price.
• Read the offer dates. Dreamina's first-month rates end on 9 October 2026, and the renewal amount appears only at checkout, so check it before you subscribe.
• Price the finished video, not the clip. If you need an ad, count the script, the edit and the sizes for each placement too.
